Absolutely love this bake shop. I was lucky enough to get there before the line got too long, which would still have been worth the wait. The quality of the baked goods simply has no comparison in the area. Best spot to grab a pastry and pretend to not be in the US.

A Delightful Morning Stop with Major Charm I stopped by Bobby’s Bake Shop on my way to Virginia, and it was such a pleasant surprise. From the moment I walked in, I loved everything about the space the decor was warm and on point, and the staff was incredibly friendly, even early in the morning. No grumpy baristas here everyone genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, which set a positive tone for the day. I ordered a latte and a toasted chocolate croissant, and let me tell you it was to die for. Flaky, warm, and perfectly paired with my drink. My partner had the Cinnamon roll, and he could not stop talking about it during the drive—it left a lasting impression! I also have to give a special shout-out to the bathroom decor yes, I’m that person! I was obsessed with the tile work; it gave me serious inspiration for my own home. And yes, the bathroom was clean and welcoming, which always earns points in my book. If I’m ever back in the area, Bobby’s is a must-stop. Great coffee, great pastries, and a space that’s clearly designed with care.

The artistry of these desserts is unmatched. Everyone was helpful and patient. We got there around 9:45 on Thursday and they had plenty of goodies! I opted for savory and then sweet items to go. My friend and I both got the Brown Sugar Maple Latte, very good but was not sweet like the name led us to believe. The Everything Puff Pastry filled with goat cheese was phenomenal! My friend got the Morning Bun and said the cinnamon and orange were great flavors. Her to go box included the Lemon Berry and mine was the Ginger Cookies and a Chocolate Raspberry that was beautiful and tasty. I’m looking forward to trying the new location on Poplar St downtown. It is very cute inside and they have two outside areas. Parking is a private lot and free street parallel parking.

This is hands the best bakery and lunch spot in the state! I feel like I’m transported back to Europe every time I dine here. The food is outstanding, especially their lunch specials and pastries. The meatball sub and lemon potato soup is life changing! I love coming here so much for all the delicious food and for the incredible service from Carrie, Robbie and Drew. They always greet me with a smile and go above and beyond to make me feel special. I’m so thankful for your all kindness, it keeps me coming back weekly! I appreciate you three so much and am so happy I found my happy place in Winston :)
