Went here for Denver restaurant week and ordered from the fixed menu. We had a reservation Fri evening but they did not have a table for us and we waited 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, just standing next to the host table (no waiting seating area). They did bring us glasses of champagne as an apology while we waited which was nice. Overall the food was pretty good, the clam chowder was excellent. The smoked trout dip wasn’t the most flavorful but the chips were good. I ordered the lobster roll and the bun was unfortunately pretty stale, but the lobster itself was tasty. My husband ordered the sea bass and it was very good, our friend also got the surf and turf filet mignon dish and was happy with it. Would come back to try again sometime, maybe it was more crowded than usual for Denver restaurant week.

My husband and I came here for our fourth wedding anniversary! A friend recommended the clam chowder as an app so we both ordered that and it was fantastic. Each cup came with a hush puppy (which was alright- a little doughy). We got the prosciutto wrapped scallops with roasted rainbow carrots on a mascarpone/spinach mix and it was spectacular. The atmosphere is a little overstimulating and loud - but if you’re okay with that this is a wonderful restaurant. I can’t wait to come back and try the calamari and grilled salmon!

Walking into Blue Island Oyster Bar's Lone Tree location feels like discovering a coastal treasure in landlocked Colorado. This seafood gem combines East Coast charm with Rocky Mountain hospitality, creating an experience that's nothing short of exceptional. The happy hour at Blue Island is where this restaurant truly shines. Their appetizer selection transforms the traditional after-work wind-down into a culinary adventure. Fresh, perfectly shucked oysters arrive glistening on ice, each variety offering distinct flavors from briny to sweet. The small plates menu showcases the kitchen's creativity without overwhelming your wallet. Service here elevates the entire experience, with our friendly waitress Natalie deserving special recognition. Her knowledge of the menu is impressive, but it's her genuine warmth and attentiveness that transforms a meal into a memorable evening. Natalie strikes that perfect balance of being present without hovering, anticipating needs while allowing conversations to flow uninterrupted. The key lime pie deserves its own paragraph of praise. This isn't just dessert; it's a masterpiece of balance between tart and sweet with a perfectly textured graham cracker crust. Served at the ideal temperature, it provides that refreshing citrus finish that complements a seafood meal perfectly. Don't overlook the warm beet salad - a dish that could convert even the staunchest beet skeptics. The earthy sweetness of perfectly roasted beets pairs wonderfully with creamy cheese, crunchy nuts, and a dressing that ties everything together. "Divine" is indeed the word that comes to mind. Blue Island Oyster Bar proves that exceptional seafood isn't exclusive to coastal cities. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself to an elevated happy hour, this Lone Tree location delivers consistency, quality, and warmth that keeps locals coming back and visitors planning their return.

The oysters were delicious. We had raw oysters and baked cheese oysters. We also got the trout deviled eggs and oh my goodness they melt in your mouth. I got a blood orange margarita it had smoked sea salt on the glass rim and it was a perfect pairing with the oysters. Not only did we have fun eating the oysters we really enjoyed the taste and atmosphere 😋. Will definitely be going back. It is a little pricy but we'll worth it and they run deals on different oysters. You gotta just dive in head first and eat here you will not regret it.
