Fine dining at its best! We recently visited Virginia to celebrate a very special graduation. We love French food! We were happy to find this fabulous quaint eclectic restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The staff was gracious, polite and attentive. The food was exquisite. We enjoyed every bite from the Chilean Sea Bass to the Crème Brûlée. Thank you to everyone, at this lovely restaurant, for an experience we will not forget.

If you want authentic french cuisine in a beautiful setting, you have found the perfect place! Wonderful atmosphere and service, the lamb shank and sausages were delicious - it really felt like we were in the french countryside. Highly recommend for any special occasion.

We had a wonderful experience at Bistro L’Hermitage! The atmosphere was warm and elegant, and the service was outstanding—our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive. We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious from start to finish, and to top it off, they surprised us with a complimentary chocolate birthday cake, which made the evening even more special. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touch and can’t wait to come back again!

The staff were amazing! Very attentive details and Friendly!! I especially enjoyed that they spoke Spanish and other languages...it really added to whole experience!! They were also knowledgeable of the menu and the dishes preparation. 👍🏽 The atmosphere was very nice and can also be cosy. I appreciated their insight and their recommendations based on our desires. 🙏🏼 The food was really delicious and wonderfully still hot! The special was amazing. The duck was really good and simple. I didn't care how the couscous was prepared. I think risotto would have paired better, but how the chef decides how the dishes are prepared. I would highly recommend Bistro L'Hermitage if you enjoy French cuisine, a special eating experience, and just for a really enjoyable evening with others or that special someone! 🍜🙏🏼 Parking is available. Dining at Bistro L’Hermitage in Occoquan was an unforgettable experience. The moment we stepped inside, we were swept away by the ambiance—elegant, cozy, and full of European charm. It genuinely felt like I was back in a quaint little restaurant somewhere in France or Belgium. Every detail, from the décor to the lighting, was perfectly curated to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Andrew was absolutely amazing—his professionalism, attentiveness, and warm personality made our evening so special. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered wonderful recommendations. The entire staff was equally impressive—polished, courteous, and clearly passionate about their work. The food? Out of this world. We began with the escargot, lobster bisque, and French onion soup—all beautifully presented and full of bold, balanced flavors. For our entrées, we had the duck breast and lamb shank, both cooked to perfection. The duck was tender and flavorful, and the lamb was so succulent it melted in our mouths. Dessert was just as incredible—crème brûlée with the perfect caramelized top and a silky custard beneath, alongside a rich, airy chocolate mousse that ended our meal on a divine note. Compliments to the chef and the entire kitchen staff—their culinary mastery and attention to detail truly shine through in every dish. You can tell this team takes pride in delivering not just a meal, but a memorable experience. This restaurant is a true gem, and I can’t wait to return.
