As a Marwadi who has grown up savoring Rajasthani food, I can confidently say that Bhookhe offers an authentic and delightful experience. The Maharaja Thali and Sartaj Thali were a feast for the senses, with staples like dal baati, gatte ki sabzi, kadhi, lehsun chutney, and sweets. Every bite transported me back to Rajasthan. The pav bhaji was flavorful, and the refreshing buttermilk complemented the meal perfectly. Bhookhe’s dedication to showcasing the rustic essence of Rajasthan is evident in every dish. I enjoyed the food so much during my first visit that I drove 1.5 hours from San Diego just to savor it again! If you’re craving authentic Rajasthani cuisine, Bhookhe is a must-visit.

The food is really good and the portions are enough for one person in the maharaja thali. We enjoyed the bajri roti and the chaat too. The dishes were homey and delicious. The only complaint was the bati was slightly raw making it difficult to eat. The ghevar rabdi is to die for. Must visit place for Rajasthani food and chat. Would definitely return to other dishes

Maharani Thali fed me like a king, but breaking the baati felt like a royal challenge! Food: The restaurant delivered an authentic and flavorful Indian dining experience, with a mix of traditional and rich dishes. - Maharani Thali: This grand platter was worth every penny, offering a hearty and fulfilling meal. The portion size was generous enough for two people if paired with appetizers. The dal and sweets were excellent, maintaining an authentic taste. However, the baati was a bit too hard, making it difficult to break, which could have been improved. - Shahi Paneer: This dish was the star of the meal—one of the best paneer sabzis I’ve had so far. The gravy-to-paneer ratio was perfect, with a well-balanced blend of spices and sweetness, making every bite satisfying. Service: The service was prompt and attentive. The staff was courteous, ensuring a smooth dining experience without long wait times. Ambience: The restaurant’s ambience reflected a traditional yet elegant Indian vibe, making it a great place for a sit-down meal. The decor and overall setting enhanced the dining experience, making it feel both warm and inviting. Pricing: The pricing was justified for the quality and quantity of food served. The Maharani Thali was a great value for money, given the variety of dishes included, and the Shaadi Paneer felt like a premium dish worth its price. Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) A must-visit for lovers of Indian cuisine, offering flavorful dishes, generous portions, and good service. A slight improvement in the baati’s texture would have made it a perfect meal.

Can’t believe I took so long to try out Bhooke. This place is UP THERE. Given the recent dip in quality at Rajdhani, would say it’s top two for Artesia.. (Podi Dosa and Bhooke) Portions are HUGE. Service is GREAT (shout out to Bharat for looking after us so well). Chai is MADE RIGHT (masala and piping hot). Authenticity is 100 (food served in dishes wrapped in banana leaves, thalis.., art on the wall.. AWESOME). Taste? SO SO SOOOOOOOO GOOD But also not for the faint hearted. The food is cooked with love and lots of ghee. Whether you’re dunking the ghee-soaked baati in earthy daal, or stuffing yourself with the crumbly, sweet churma or besan ladoos.. the Rajasthani flavors are front and center.. and the confronting quality of the taste is too upfront to dismiss Best kachoris we’ve had stateside.. hands down (recommend the kachori chaat). Highly recommend the Maharaja thali.. get to try everything.. and comes with lassi, sweet dishes.. and three different types of bread (rumali roti/baati/other types of bread!). Beware.. portions are massive.. so expect to take food to go! Will 10000% be back!
