I’m definitely a sucker for Neapolitan style pizza. Basil and Barley is one of my favorites in town. One of the things I really like about this place is the menu isn’t traditional. Even their version of pepperoni is different, but in a good way. Instead of the same old toppings you get at most pizza places, here you get to experience new flavors. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great! I highly recommend you give them a try, you’ll be glad you did.

We very much enjoyed our dinner tonight at Basil & Barley! This was not our first visit, but it was the first time we had the Macellaio Pizza, "Jim Style" (the owner) with not only the delicious red sauce but also the basil sauce. The soppressata is a special treat and so flavorful, also not too salty. We really appreciate the unique option of having charcoal crust too. So delicious and much healthier for us! We couldn't help but indulge ourselves by enjoying their gelato and warmed brownie dessert! Finally, their staff are some of the best. We believe customer service can make the difference between an average and a great restaurant. B & B's staff are definitely great! Can't wait to go back again! It's one of our favorite restaurants! One of Colorado Springs's best kept secrets!
