A visit to 80 Thoreau is always a treat, but even more so when they have a special menu. Their tomato and corn tasting wraps up today and it was fantastic. They are located on the top floor of the Concord Depot, the former train station. The space is charming both in the bar area and the dining room. I’ve been going there long enough to see dozens of servers come and go, but they are always knowledgeable and attentive. My only disappointment is that the bar burger is no longer available. It was one of my favorites.

This place is amazing, a hidden gem. Everything from the moment you walk in is A plus! Service is excellent, our waiter explained the different menu items and gave great suggestions on wine. The food, there aren’t enough words, it’s art crafted on your plate, that is not only visually appealing, but tastes so good! The true diamond in this establishment is the bartender, I think he’s one of the best in MA, he’s truly gifted at his craft! I think one of the reasons I really enjoy my experience here is because there are no TV’s and no loud music. It is truly a place you can go and enjoy a nice dinner without the distraction!!!

December 2024: It has been a few years since we were here last and we were happy that the food was just as good as our previous experience. The radicchio salad was spectacular, and I also enjoyed the duck. The scallop appetizer was interesting but not something I can would want to have again. June 2019. Soft shell crab and quail. Very tasty. Side note: Refills of soft drinks are not free. 2018. Excellent. I ate here several times and enjoyed everything I had each time.

We enjoyed our "Dine Out Boston" prix fixe dinners very much. It had been a while since we dined at 80 Thoreau, and we're so glad we went back! Imaginative and delicious menu offerings, great cocktails, and efficient and knowledgeable staff. We'll be back!

I feel this restaurant is very good. Everything is very fresh and the atmosphere is nice. Also, the price is very good in my opinion. $55 for 3 kinda big dishes (even though they are called small plates) + some free bread (which was just okay but free), then dessert is $10-14. I think very worth it for special occasions.
