I was walking around a neighborhood I’m not familiar with in Denver, and I saw the SAME Cafe. I love that they want to make sure everyone has a chance to eat, regardless of whether people can afford it or not. People contribute how they can: giving financially, volunteering there, working at the cafe. The staff are kind, attentive, and hospitable. And the food is good.

SAME ( So All May Eat) Cafe warms my heart every time. There is so much love and joy in this cafe. The food is all donated and it’s healthy and yummy…perfect on a Fall Day like today. You choose a soup, a salad, a pizza, and a beverage and then you donate either your time or your money in exchange. I leave belly & soul satisfied every time.

This cafe gives back to the community everyday! Through fresh produce donations, the SAME Cafe provides affordable lunches made from fresh produce. Customers can pay what they have, bring produce or volunteer 30 minutes in exchange for lunch... in this way, no one goes hungry, no one is turned away. The SAME Cafe (So All May Eat) is always open to produce or monetary donations and volunteers to propell its goals forward. A nobel cause to ensure those with food insecurity can access food.

The food was great! I really enjoyed how I felt like I was eating a salad straight out of a garden and the pizzas were really tasty as well. Did I leave full? No. But I don’t think that was the point here. For me, it was a great introduction to organizations like this one and how they operate as well as a reminder that others may not be as fortunate as I am and that I should always be grateful. I look forward to supporting this business in the future and letting the other organizations I’m a part of know that this place exists!
