Specialties: Kansas City Inspired. Colorado Smoked. Established in 2021. They say where there's smoke there's fire, and Chef Bill Espiricueta is no exception: born in Austin, Texas, Chef Bill has been eating, making, and enjoying BBQ with a fiery passion from an early age. He got his start at Kansas City's progressive Bluestem Restaurant before jumping to fine dining, working with Nobu Matsuhisa at Nobu in downtown Dallas's Crescent Hotel, then finding his way to Boulder where he was drawn to the more casual atmosphere and focus on locally sourced food at Oak at Fourteenth where he worked closely with Chef Steve Redzikowski before opening Smok RiNo, Denver in 2018. Our continuous growth led the team to open their refined food stall location in Junction Food & Drink in 2020 and Smok Fort Collins in 2021.

Jalapeno cheddar sausage is a must.!! The chicken is really good as well. The poppers are great 👍 . It could be better if they would give a nice little splash of the barbecue sauce on all the proteins before they serve. They do have help ur self sauce . But other than that go fill ur belly!!

This is quickly becoming my one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Collins. The smoked turkey is moist and flavorful, ribs were outstanding and very meaty, the sweet potato puffs are just yummy. Their sauces are great and their cocktails were delicious as well. Staff is always friendly and patient; atmosphere is laid back and casual. Can’t wait to come back.

Inside on the chalkboard, is a "Special of the Day", everyday. It varies depending on what works best for them as a restaurant. Chris explained to me that sometimes throughout the year, they will also have a planned special. Last week, it was a Chicago Italian Beef sandwich. This is NOT on the menu every day. Normally, Colorado does not know how to make a real authentic Italian Beef, but Smok's version was the best I have ever had!

The employees were super friendly, and it smells amazing in there. The food was pretty good! The ribs and brisket (usually my favorites) were just okay. A bit dry. The rest of our large family meal was delicious. Although, when you say "large family meal" I feel the sides should be enough to go around for a large family. Enough for 2 people to have a side, not 4 or 5. Id prefer less choices of sides, and enough for everyone to have some in the group.

Star of the show: TACOS. They are massive! You can order them in single quantities, which I always do because I can never even finish 2. Coleslaw is delicious, as well as the fries and baked beans. Do not forget to order a banana pudding for after your meal. It is the best!
