Specialties: LA Financial Credit Union is a division of CU SoCal. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in LA County. Family members related to a LA Financial member or employee are also eligible to join. We are a not-for-profit organization, owned by our members. We don't have stockholders to answer to, instead we're here to help you get where you want to go in life. This means that the earnings, minus operating expenses, are returned to the members in the form of higher deposit rates and lower loan rates. Visit us at the branch or online to join us! Established in 1937. It began as a simple "self-help" organization in the late 1930s that could protect the paychecks of many LA County employees from the unscrupulous lenders. Over 87 years later, we continue to serve anyone in Los Angeles County. And, as of March 1, 2025, we are a division of CU SoCal. (Learn more about our partnership: lafinancial.org/partnership). Unlike banks and savings & loans, every member is a co-owner - there are no stockholders. We provide higher rates on savings, lower rates on loans, and free or low-fee services to our members. We offer our services to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in LA County or Lake Havasu City, AZ. Family members related to a LA Financial or Havasu Community Credit Union member or employee are also eligible to join.
